College-preparatory · technology-integrated

Five departments. One demanding standard.

Belize High School pairs a college-prep core with real robotics and coding programs that have medaled internationally — while Belize Elementary School builds the foundation every BHS student starts from.

Belize Elementary School

The foundation BHS is built on.

Pre-primary through primary, BES focuses on reading, math, and creativity — the same STEAM-and-athletics mission BHS carries forward, just scaled for younger learners.

Every BHS ninth grader who came up through BES arrives already fluent in the school's expectations — one less adjustment on day one.

More about BES

STEM, competitively

Gold in Geneva, and it wasn't a fluke.

BHS's robotics and coding programs compete internationally — and win.

FIRST Global Challenge, 2022 — Gold Championship, Geneva, Switzerland

Team Justin Zhou, Benny He, Jaden Chen, Melysa Choi, and Tristian Bradley took gold at this Olympics-style robotics competition, mentored by Mr. Godfrey Sosa, Mr. Liang, Mr. Silva, Mr. Carrillo, and Mrs. Usher.

FIRST Robotics Challenge

Following the Global Challenge win, the team moved up to more rigorous competition — earning recognition from colleges and the Belizean government.

FIRST LEGO League

BES's elementary and middle school students take on a new real-world STEM challenge every August.

Coding Olympiad & Government Cyber Safety Competition

Gold medal (Caribbean Science Foundation) for a public transportation app, and first place in a national cyber-safety competition — now in ongoing development with the Ministry of Education.
